Welcome To The Best In Singapore - Home Tuition Division
Hello 🙂 I am Amelia Lee, PhD – Princeton University, Materials Science Engineering.
I am one of the co-founders of The Best In Singapore, and I lead our Education Division comprising over 31,000 of Singapore’s most qualified and experienced home tutors.
Since 2012, we have established a strong track record of helping our students achieve better grades. You have probably heard about us from your school teachers, classmates, relatives or colleagues.
Getting into a good school and maintaining good grades is important for anyone who wants to do well in their chosen career – whether you plan to eventually work in Singapore, Asia, Europe or the United States.
Exams now require students to be able to remember large chunks of information, analyze complicated scenarios and then come up with appropriate answers.
The easier part of all these important tasks is probably the memorization of content from your textbooks. It certainly is more challenging to be able to correctly develop your higher-order thinking skills. Once you can do this, you will then need to apply the analyses are required by the increasingly difficult exam questions. Your school teachers are very good, but they are sometimes too busy to answer every question that you have.
In order to consistently achieve higher grades, you need appropriate guidance from exceptional home tutors who:
- Have proven track records of guiding their students to better understand and apply the complex information
- Help you avoid careless mistakes
- Can identify what the exam questions really want you to do
- Are are able to give you valuable strategies to answer difficult exam questions
Choose tutors with proven track records today, so that your grades will improve in time for the coming major exams.

Good Reviews By Parents & Students
Comments and feedback of the results of hiring professional home tutors from The Best In Singapore

We sent Stella to tuition classes for about 6 months. She had difficulty catching up, and even the tuition centre teacher told us that it is best for Stella to have one to one tuition at home. This teacher himself used The Best In Singapore to find tuition teachers for his own children. We were shown some really strong profiles and their rates were within our budget. We should have started on private tuition much earlier, because Stella is now much more comfortable with Maths.
Mrs Ong
Ai Tong School

E-Math and A-Math were quite OK at O Levels. When I started H2 Math at JC, for some reason, my grades were not as good. I wasn't sure where my mistakes were. So I was really relieved that Mr Sim has so much experience in teaching Math at JC level. I could ask him how to solve the more difficult questions, and it brought down my stress levels that he was able to help me so patiently.
Edwin Lai
St Andrew’s Junior College

My parents felt that I wasn't putting in enough effort for my Math. The both of them are engineers and of course, Math is one of their strongest subjects when they were in school and university. They kept reminding me that among all the subjects, it is easiest to score full marks or over 90 marks for Math. This gave me lots of pressure because I was scoring in the 70's and 80's. Ms Chuan from The Best In Singapore could see how much pressure I was putting on myself and she tailored many Math problems for me to solve - from the easier ones and then the harder ones. I gained more marks using her methods.
Lau Mei LIng
Tanjong Katong Girls’ School

Maths started becoming a problem for me when I was in P3. We wanted to find a tuition teacher who could teach me until secondary school. Madam Teo from The Best In Singapore has a Master's degree in Applied Math, so we were very keen to have her teach me. I got into the IP track, and Madam Teo taught me all the way to my A Levels.

5. Unless stated otherwise within a question, three-figure accuracy will be required for answers. This means that four-figure accuracy should be shown throughout the working, including cases where answers are used in subsequent parts of the question. Premature approximation will be penalised, where appropriate.
Angles in degrees should be given to one decimal place.
6. SI units will be used in questions involving mass and measures.
Both the 12-hour and 24-hour clock may be used for quoting times of the day. In the 24-hour clock, for example, 3.15 a.m. will be denoted by 03 15; 3.15 p.m. by 15 15.
7. Candidates are expected to be familiar with the solidus notation for the expression of compound units, e.g. 5 cm/s for 5 centimetres per second, 13.6 g/cm3 for 13.6 grams per cubic centimetre.
8. Unless the question requires the answer in terms of π, the calculator value for π or π = 3.142 should be used.
9. Spaces will be provided in each question paper for working and answers.”
